Recently a Collingwood supporter known affectionately as “One Eyed Judi” visited her sister Jennie in Tasmania.   Jennie and husband Ross are working at fixing up for sale about 120 old motor bikes and other “stuff” as well as helping bring an 1860’s convict built mansion back to life.    The eccentric owner Sanders Frith-Brown had a Bentley converted into a utility – as you do.   The storage door off the kitchen is a door from the Port Arthur Convict Penitentiary, complete with lock and key!   Just your typical week in Tassie.

What a special morning.

The Werner family made the effort to get going at 3am in Canberra to join an estimated 120,000 people at the dawn service at the Australian War Memorial.
The service started at 4:30 but we chose to go early to ensure a reasonable spot within the amphitheatre.  The readings before the dawn service started proper were very poignant and set the scene of remembrance.

We have sent our correspondent to Noosa for Easter to confirm that Club Noosa is still the place to go.  Steph and friends have taken advantage of the timeshare for a week and have reported that it is close to paradise.  Not bad from all involved given that they are all world travels to many locations that could also be described as paradise.

Last year we braved the winter weather to see the famous sand castles of Sandy Point.  As a reminder you might remember this photo of Al & Kev and Norm & Fi at the beach.

But 2015 has been a better year for weather and they were all out to make the prize winner.  As reported by Al & Kev, it was a great event.

Not long after the Grand Final, and as part of the joint wedding anniversary, the O'Mara's and Werner's took a couple of weeks off in Tassie.
Taking the Spirit of Tasmania was a great experience and we experienced high tree walks, the red rocks of Binalong Bay, fantastic walks in Frecynet National Park, the history of Richmond and a highlight at MONA in Hobart.

Kate Walsh has spent much of the time since the Grand Final on her tour of South America and Antarctica.

Just before Xmas Erin (O'Mara) and Adam bowled us over with a lovely outdoor wedding.

December started with Stew (Price) and Prue making the commitment.  They have worked together for years and now have settled back in Melbourne.

Pelicans, fishing, the Veitnam Veterans Museum and lots of R&R was just what was need in March.
