Reporter: Julie Longden The excitement of the wedding is over and the newlyweds Kate and Tim are back into house renovating . Easter break saw Tim and Kate having to pull down their old fence ( finish what the heavy down pour of rain did) and erect a new fence . Excitement was high at The Longden household - especially for 3 year old Andrew. Ruby showed some interest but couldn’t compete with Andrew. He lives for diggers, dump trucks , front loaders, backhoe loaders, concrete mixer trucks , lift trucks, bull dozers , garbage trucks etc etc etc The photo of Andy on Damien’s lap is one of serious concentration and I think matches Damien. One wonders who was actually driving the truck. Their expressions mirror each other. Needless to say Andy had a wonderful time (1/2 hr )in the excavator and it made his day.

Reporter: Marg Werner The Werner’s had a nostalgic holiday over Easter joining Mel and others camping on the banks of the Goulburn river at Murchison. Blessed by amazing weather we joined the group Thursday and found almost glamping conditions with a great setup by Mel. Four legged friends including her horse and dogs made for great morning walks out amongst the natural bush. Meals were fun and yum , making use of camp ovens and enormous beach fires. Mels good friends on neighbouring property provided the traditional Easter hunt for the kids. Afternoons spent playing card games and solving the “issues of the world” left little time for my book but provided great relaxing by the waters edge.
Reporter: Judi Lawler ![]() Tony & Judi along with 12 other misfits, travelled the Nullarbour playing golf on some of the most ridiculous golf holes ever seen. Need less to say the scores were nonsense, but what fun. Spent lots of time searching for balls amongst the salt bush and snake pits. Luckily only 2 snakes but about a dozen lost balls , PER HOLE! Wave rock was worth the 120 km detour, then onto the WA south coast. Crashing waves, wine and delicious food.
Reporter: Bruce Longden Kate (nee Longden) and Tim have a story to tell at their wedding. Much was made of how Tim first meet Kate. Kate had volunteered to be a trainer at Uni Blacks footy team. Tim (among others I hear) was always feigning muscle strains for a rub-down. Then Kate turned up at the UNi Blacks ball in a Hooters grill outfit. Maybe seems Tim was hooked from then. Photos - at Kate's B&B we hired at Buninyong, then Kate & Tim with Ruby and Andrew after ceremony.
Wedding great location at Narmbool farm, weather excellent, ceremony held in the house gardens. Food excellent, good speeches and lots of dancing. Overnight stay at Narmbool and surrounding places, then Sunday lunch at Buninyong Hotel, about 50 people |
