Footy tipping stress

16/3/2014

Week one of the new season and the stress must be getting to me already.  Thank you for all the wishes of speedy recovery as I spent the first week of the season sidelined with an injury.

Unfortunately after a relaxing long weekend the thought of work and facing up to another season of footy tipping must have been too much
.  On the way to work on Tuesday there were a few heart palpitations, a light headiness that almost amount to collapse and an alarming shortness of breath.

The result - a bit of running around, brief stay in the emergency room at RMH and then a few days on Melbourne Private.
The top part of the heart had gone into its own rhythm of 300bpm and the bottom part was struggling to know what to do.

All is well that ends well they say
.  I needed a reboot.  Like any good piece of computing equipment....when all else fails simply turn off and reboot.   Worked for me.
Picture
Seriously though, a little scary and time to take stock.  But do not fear...this means a refocus on the things I love...like footy tipping.

There are many amongst us that have wondered if you ever had a heart. Just shows how wrong we can be. Thrilled you are well on the mend with no damage. Now when we get together we can compare "the heart attack story" - its amazing how many people I've shared that one with! Keep breathing - its impoprtant. Tony

Well, this was an eye-opener read. Trust you are well and back to full health. My health continues to be affected when reading the final scores of the Dees - on a weekly basis. Go with the brain and not the heart suggests I should transfer to the Hawks supporter base. Cheers.
