We headed off for what has become our traditional Sandy Point sojourn to join Al & Kev at their welcoming holiday house near Wilsons Prom. Easy packing with casual clothes to accommodate lots of walking, beach trips and lazy nights of games and drinkies around the chiminea.

Easter at Sandy Point is always highlighted by the local Saturday morning sandcastle competition followed by culture at the Annual Art Show in the community hall and coffee in the cafe courtyard.
This years sand castle competition blitzed previous years boosted by the still warm weather on the beach.  Families were everywhere, lots of 4 legged friends and early starters for the more competitive participants.  All number of implements for building were brought out with wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels and adornments dragged across the sand to produce and amazing array of clever structures.

Favourites were the table setting dug into the sand, a hot air balloon with the creator buried to the waste as if in the basket and the fantastic replica of Black Pearl complete with seaweed rigging from the masts.
