Reporters: Amanda & Doug followed by Al & Av As we swelter in Melbourne while also suffering wind, rain, hail and catastrophic fire conditions all in one day, some of our friends are viewing one of the last pristine places on earth. Here are a few photos that have been coming from Amanda & Doug. For a video wrap please go to the end of this post for a separate video from Allan Foster who has also been visiting the Antarctic with Av at a very similar time. It doesn't seem far when you look at from a different perspective, but I am sure the travellers will confirm that it's like another world. Amanda & Doug will have many memories of Cocacabana Beach, Rio then Iguaza, Buenos Airies and Santiago before dropping 40-50 degrees Celsius on the way to the Antarctic via Shetland Islands. Meanwhile Al & Av Foster were taking a slightly different path into Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and then on to Antarctica. Don't miss the attempt by Al below to audition for the next Attenborough documentary.
