So this is the start of a whole new world for us.  I hope that this site will encourage you to interact.

For a start, as I upload newsletter articles you can make direct comment on each article.  Just click on the "Comment" prompt in the top right hand corner of the article.  Put your name that you want people to see but don't worry about email or website address. I will try to get rid of those when I have studied this fully. Maybe I will also work out how to change the date format from US mm/dd/yyyy format.

Add some value to the article, defend yourself if necessary and perhaps respond to comments from other people.  It should all accumulate on the site.

So look out for some new articles that I know will be coming - New Year in China and the Whale Wars in the Southern Ocean.  Each of these to come from our intrepid reporters who are travelling the world over January.

Here is just a few of the memorable moments in the year now gone.  I hope that you can add some special moments for everyone's enjoyment.

12th September. The wine women and food at Padthaway.

The nurses have picked another great place for a weekend retreat.  The Padthaway Homestead has given Bruce & Julie, Annette & Fred, Dave & Marg and Judy a great weekend of wine & food.  The Padthaway Estate speciality of sparkling chardonnay and shiraz was savoured during the private wine tasting and then was put to the ultimate test during a superb evening meal in the grand surrounds of the 1880 mansion.
The boys enjoyed the experiences also despite Bruce's dominance on the billiard table.  A bit of mis-spent youth was very evident. We also had a wander around the Naraccorte Caves and Discovery Centre during Saturday afternoon.

11 July 2009:  Adrian and Janet report on a successful tour of the Calgary Stampede again.

5th April 2009: A surprise wedding.  Lou and Nathan invited us to the engagement and then floored the crowd with a wedding ceremony.
