Marg and I are enjoying the delights of Maui.  IBM is footing the bill so what could be better.
After a long trip to Los Angeles and then back to the Hawaiian Islands we have settled in for the entertainment, eating and a bit of R&R.

The business session was compulsory for the IBMers but I think Marg enjoyed it immensely.  Lots of rah rah, but also great entertainment.

American Authors is an American indie rock band based in New York City. They are best known for their hit singles "Believer" and "Best Day of My Life" from their debut album Oh, What a Life.  Seemed very appropriate for the day.

Our recreation event was a tour of 'Iao valley on the northwest side of Maui.  This was with photographers who provided lots of tips on getting the best out of the conditions.  but I do not think they counted on the inch of rain that we had in the afternoon.  That's why they call it a rainforest.

Marg and I had the privilege of being asked to volunteer to assist with the Open Garden event at our friends' place in Canberra over the weekend.  Carol and Howard have amazed and inspired us since they moved out of the apartment next to us when we lived in Canberra and they moved to a large block on the side of a hill overlooking Tuggeranong.  They have worked tirelessly developing a sensational hillside garden.

The weekend drew the biggest crowd in Canberra Open Gardens history.  We were selling plant cuttings, serving freshly ground coffee and selling raffle tickets...all proceeds to BeyondBlue.
