500mtr strip thru Lancefield

While out on home visits on the Carlshrue-Lancefield road in the tiny work car early May and came across this 500 mt strip of destruction from a mini tornado that had gone thru Lancefield. Odd occurrence was the defined strip of destruction bordered by normal forest on each side. Just on the edge was a farm with roof blown off both house and barn. A few metres past the boundary fence all was still intact.

A local reminder of the work environment that Steph has gone to in Fiji.  But in the case of Fiji the destruction is widespread and many villagers are living in tents with rubble around 6 months after Cyclone Winston.  The challenge is now to be prepared for the next cyclone season.
